positives/negatives of the game

Negatives - We have to commit to the run at some point. How many times in third in short did we come out in shotgun? Feed Jamaal!

The offensive line has to get better. Not much else to say about them.

We also have too many penalties, especially against the offense. Albert had at least three, I believe.

Positives - Batted balls. Lots of hands up taking away passing lanes. It was nice to see.

Justin Houston and Poe are monsters. Our defense has a chance to be great.

3-0!!! I don't care if they've been ugly, it's just fun to be winning again.

I'd love to hear some positive/negatives from you more educated viewers.

Here's what I don't understand. I was frustrated by the offense the whole game, and yet the stats are....

Smith - 273 yards passing
Donnie Avery - 141 yards receiving
Jamaal - 172 total yards

The offense was actually pretty productive.

Kinda crazy that Smith ended up with 273.....although, he needs to buy Avery dinner at some point this week.

Yards are nice, but when they don't get the TD its always frustrating to me. I love the ball security though. We just don't turn it over. Alex has the patience of Job.

This, we need to generate more TDs if we want to have any chance against Denver. We can't constantly rely on FGs to win it for us.

They got most of those on the last drive.

Alex Smith had 177 yds passing in the first half, so, I call BULLSHIT.

i thought the play calling was pathetic, that first red zone series where Charles carried for 5 yards on first down and then they called a toss sweep to that worthless ****ing midget mccluster....jesus h donuts

3rd down plays....hey, let's call a slow developing run on 3rd and 1...yay!

OL...Fisher...oh my

Charles is still the most important player on offense...and it still isn't close
Charles is pretty important, but I'd like to point out that Knile didn't seem to be doing too bad. There was a point, before the 4th quarter, that he was having far more success running between the tackles than Jamaal.

To another one of your points, I'm really ****ing flustered by the coaching blunders. Reid appears to know what he's doing and seems to be a great motivator, but his in-game decisions are incredibly annoying.

The slow- developing shotgun runs on 3rd and 1 and refusal to line up in the I is disgusting. The thing that I wonder most about, though, is WHY THE **** WAS MCCLUSTER PUT AT KR IN THE 4th? We did the same thing last week with Knile and they both nearly choked the game away. KEEP DEMPS BACK THERE ALL ****ING GAME. There was absolutely no ****ing reason not to have him back there. Even if he was tired, he's still better than either McCluster or Davis..

I agree, however i think like last week, Demps was likely gassed by playing defense. I think you see Knile back there when demps has been playing defense now though. **** McCluster is shit.

oh I trust you on stats,
but damn it was not pretty
are we just bitchy, cause we know how bad things can be?

we all want the '86 bears( they were funner than the ravens) on D
and brady's 16-0 on offense
but our O looks useless
and the playcalling is like the throw darts, not watching what works

I hate running the ball on 3rd and one or third and three out of the shotgun. Do we ever get a first down running the ball out of the shotgun on third down?
