My girlfriend is coming back from Texas with her family and they saw the tornado that touched down in Oklahoma City just about 15 minutes ago she said.

I should have mentioned this, Mr. leviw; the majority of the survivors interviewed after the storm said they had NO warning. Zero. Zip. El Nada. They didn't have their television on or whatever. Peeps were in the shower, the kitchen or the bedroom, or wherever and sought shelter in their basement (if they had one) or a closet (if they didn't) when they heard the wind begin howling like a freight train.
They interviewed one guy who was sucked out of the living room window of his home, blasted across the street, and into the back yard of his neighbor's house. He was kinda shaken up, but assuming he always had a stutter and one rambling eyeball, otherwise okay. FAX |

When the alarms were going off, like a dumb ass I had to go out side and see if I could see anything. I couldn't see anything, but I could hear it. Destroyed quite a bit juts a mile away from my house. They say it was a half a mile wide. Crazy, there have been so many tornado warnings thtat turned out to be nothing, I almost didn't take it seriously. Jim Robertson Chevorolet was flattened as well as several houses in the high end Lakeside Estates. Novinger was hit also.

yeah, i'm ok...we live 5mi south of kv by the airport. supposedly one touched down around troy mills and another around millard(small towns).
the one north of kv was the kicker. my kids live 1/2 mile from there. it's a freaking mess at work...running generators all over last night where power was out at our cabinets in the field. starting to get thing back up this morning. could have been a lot worse, i guess. sec

We just ended up with a few storms in Springfield last night. Supposed to have more come through on Friday. Our big tornado day was last Friday morning. We had a few touch down. In this area, Fair Grove got hit the worst. They had a roof come off of a school with kids inside. Only one ended up being injured. We were out of power at work for about 3.5 hours, but nothing major.

Glad your tribe is alright, but I was getting ready to lay claim to your hunting stuff, you know, out of respect.
Isn't smitty in that area too? There are a handful I know if with KVille ties, but I'm not sure how many live there. |
