Flooring Guys Question

Bought some LVP flooring from a guy at a business that had it stored in a business garage for the last couple of years. It wasn't a flooring business just a business that decided they weren't going to use it. It was still new in box and the boxes didn't look damaged or anything like that. It is Coretec(Shaw) brand flooring. If you look at the picture I embedded a lot of it has a haze on it. I thought a good cleaning would take care of it but it ain't going away. What would cause this and can I do anything about it? It is down in a basement so it isn't the end of the world but I have three other rooms down there to do and might contemplate getting something else but may go ahead and do it anyways.

Contractor guy friend says try vinegar and water on a little piece of it with a rag.

He's not a flooring guy per se but has put down a lot over his career. Good luck.

Do a test spot.

Paint thinner/mineral spirits can cloud the **** out of plastics, which is similar to what the surface of vinyl plank is made of.

This is safe on anything. I suggest it to people when they have something they just can't get clean.

I called that number and had a 30 minute conversation with some chick saying she wanted to do all sorts of neat things to me. I kept telling her I wasn't interested but she wouldn't let me hang up. Now I have a $200 phone bill.

Thanks a lot.

I had an extra piece I just tested it on... didn't seem to help much if any. My wife and mom seems to think it looks fine and maybe I am being too picky.

A lot of vinyl plank has a very lackluster top "finish", most is matte or even duller.

We use this. Puts a pretty decent shine on the floors.
