Anyone been to a Chiefs/Raiders game in Oakland before?

I'm going on the 21st of October. A lady I work with has season tickets and is giving them to me for free. Any tips? Bulletproof vests....helmets....

The fans there would like you to think that what will happen to you is similar to you avatar after you are thrown over the rail. The truth? Well, it is a bunch of fat, bald, goutee wearin, tough guy wanna be types that wear masks to make themselves look more evil than they are. I haven't been there, but a bud of mine went, wore his chiefs gear, and said there were verbal insults, but most were in jest. He said as long as you dont sit there hootin and hollerin about the crappy faders, you are fine. He said he wanted to laugh at how they make the "black hole" seem so badass, then there are a bunch of short tubbies there in evil outfits.

I tell ya one thing though. I was there in 98 when Grbac through that TD at the end of the game to Andre Rison. I was the only ****er cheering in that stadium, it was dead quiet. lol

It would have made a great NFL Sunday Ticket commercial. LOL! I thought I would get a knife in my back. When I turned around, I never saw so many angry faces looking at one guy.

Don't wear any Raider gear either. They can spot a imposter a mile away. I went to a Raider-Bronco game a few years ago in Oakland. Other than feeling like I was on the set of "Mad Max, Beyond Thunderdome" it was fun.

I'm just planning on going there in normal everyday clothes. I'm sitting pretty high up too and according to the lady who's giving me the tickets....they're on the visitor's side. So hopefully I'm surrounded by Chiefs fans. Maybe we'll make a convoy from the game to the parking lot.

Man, you gotta wear the Chiefs gear. I went to the Chiefs/LA Raiders game many moons ago the week after the Raider fans beat a Steeler fan to death in the stands the week before.

I was totally decked out in Chiefly red and the Raiders were winning a close game the entire game. On the last possession, Steve F-ing DeBerg let our Chiefs to a game winning drive and we threw if back in the Raider fans.

BTW, during that game there were uniformed police up and down the aisles and the ROWS during the entire game.

Raiders blow. Fear not, wear your colors!

No this was an afternoon game. One of our historians can recall the game. It was Deberg who led the final drive and toward the in which I sat for the game winning touchdown. As I recall there was no time left on the clock.

As an aside, I've been to a dozen visiting stadiums and ALWAYS worn the colors. The abuse is half the fun of it. I been to Oakland, Denver, San Diego, but the closest I ever got to blows was in Buffalo.

Hard head vs hard head.

Man up, Wear Red!

Sheesh.... not this tired old bullshiet again. Every year there's red in the stands for the Chiefs game in Oaktown. Lookit any pic of the crowd & you'll see. A little good-natured ribbing... no more & no less than any other stadium. Don't let this fake legend thats bigger than life stop you from wearing your Chiefs gear.... this is Oakland, not L.A.... you're plenty safe. Don't be a pansy - its OK to be a Chiefs fan in the stands - LOTS OF PEOPLE DO IT!!!

Funny how the USC Trojans play in the same coliseum and they never kill any bruin fans. But when the Raiders played here they beat the shit out of people a bunch of times.
