There's a reason why Kirk Cousins was being talked about all of LAST year even in the regular season, and he was all anybody talked about post-Alex trade during the offseason.
It's so rare for a QB to waltz into free agency like that where he was a former starter looking to find a franchise because his old team didn't want him or did something to piss him off. Even when the Broncos ****ed up the Jay Cutler situation. They got rid of him on a trade. It's never been ANY kind of market for starting QBs like Kirk Cousins, much less someone like Patrick ****ing Mahomes, who could be widely considered the best QB in the NFL by the time he reaches that point. This whole, "Pat might want ________" in his new team is ****ing garbage ass bullshit. It would be the first time in NFL history such a thing occurred. It would represent the BIGGEST ****ING mismanagement of a team ever. People would talk about it like they talk about the Ricky Williams trade up to this day. Lastly, Clark Hunt intervened when Dorsey pissed off Eric Berry. A ****ing safety. Let's imagine the impossible happening. Let's say Mahomes is out for blood in his contract, and Veach is trying to Guru him. It comes to blows and Mahomes says, "**** this!" Clark Hunt intervened to prevent fan backlash over a safety. You think this time he's going to sit on his ass and **** around with his fantasy soccer lineups while this is going on? DRM08, we are all giant dumbasses on this forum at one point or another. Here's your moment. It's not a big deal, but I just advise you to back slowly away and pretend it never happened. |

Both of these guys are going to get contracts around 5 yr. $90M.

Will be interesting to see what (if anything) they do with Berry/Houston/Hitchens. Big money for all 3 next year. The 3 of them account for 24.8% of next years cap.

It's in the Chiefs and houstons interest to restructure this offseason to a team friendly deal. I think it will get done. If it isn't, then maybe he's not in their long term plans. But I doubt that.

Interesting numbers. I'll say this though -- I am not signing Ford to that contract. In any way, shape, or form. And it has nothing to do with the offsides play.
