Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Same thoughts here as well.

If I had known it was going to be a coming of age indie comedy-drama I probably would have enjoyed it more. At the time I rented it I was really in the mood for a pure comedy as it seemed to be marketed.

this new flick coming out, Creation of Lying? or something like that, directed by the british office guy, well it looks pretty decent.

I could see being a bit disappointed if you thought it was going to be a Super Bad or similar comedy. I think that is why half way through the movie I wasn't thrilled with it. I was expecting more laughs. Your description of a "coming of age indie comedy-drama" is right on, and for that type of movie it was good.

Just watched White Light/Black Rain: The destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Amazing documentary. I recommend everyone see it whether you're for or against any war.

I watched a movie called The Grocer's Son (French with subtitles) It was good. It's not some action packed film, but it was good character development and good performances.
