...from San Diego and was hoping to get some feedback.

I've been wanting to move to the Mid West for sometime now and think it is about time I do so.

I've been to Lawrence, Overland Park and KC a few times and like it quite a bit.

Can anyone give me a ballpark number of what the cost of a nice home is? Say 4 bedrooms, 2 baths in a nice neighborhood? What about the cost to rent a house?

Lawrence seems like a cool college town to live in. I have visited a few times there and like it.

So thats it...just looking for a change.

Lastly, does that mean I have to convert to a Chiefs fan if I move to KS?

A buddy of mine just bought a 5 year old townhouse (part of a duplex) its got 3 BR 2 bath, not sure of the sq footage, but it is one hell of a nice house for about 150K. Not sure what you are after, but that is one nice house.

I really like Lawrence. Depending on what you want to do, it is pretty commutable. Lots of people commute to Topeka and Johnson County. They are both very easy drives.
