All the "just pay the man, it's not our money" people have to understand that most of our safety money is tied up in Eric Berry for a couple of years. This is what happens when you "just pay the man". We are going to have to draft guys to play safety. Ron Parker is hitting our cap TWICE right now, 2 million from one contract and $630k from his new contract.

Safety cap numbers:
Berry - 13 million
Sorenson - 5.2m
Parker - 2m + 630k
Murray - 700k
Lucas - 630k
Watts - 555k
Durham - 363k

The safety position is a complete mess.

But it's not like his leg is getting cut off. The man will no doubt get the surgery and will hopefully come back healthy next season. How would the crybabies react if we cut Eric and then he joins the Patriots and balls out next season? People would be losing their damn minds .
