The stat makes no sense. 48% to all other targets? He threw nearly 60. Are they talking specifically WRs?

Oh, definately. If they lose Goldson for Boldin it's a horrible trade off.

I don't agree with him, but Andy obviously felt that they uggraded the QB position immensely by dealing for Alex. QB's are always going to fetch a higher price. Look at Shaub, Cassel, Flynn....etc.

it's the contract not the draft pick
The Ravens just used the trade to get Boldin out of their conference.

I think Boldin is being undersold quite a bit in this thread. Dude might be slow, but for a guy like him, since when does that matter. He's ALWAYS open. Even when he's blanketed, he's open.

Depends on who it allows Baltimore to sign after freeing up cash and prohibits San Fran from bringing back. I find it strange Baltimore would just give him up for that after he raped during postseason play.

I would have rather did it with signing Jason Campbell as a free agent and draft Geno versus trade away a second rounder and have the Geno thing up in the air, but Alex Smith is an upgrade to our QB position. |

Oh, I definately agree it's an upgarde. But, by how much? Still seems like we have an extremely limited QB that can't win games on his arm. Horrible record when forced to throw over 30 times and when the team gives up 24 points. Sound familiar?
