Boldin traded to 49ers for 6th round pick.

Should we have gotten in non that action?

The stat makes no sense. 48% to all other targets? He threw nearly 60. Are they talking specifically WRs?

Boldin makes absolutely no sense for the Chiefs.
Oh, definately. If they lose Goldson for Boldin it's a horrible trade off.

Why would you advocate that the Chiefs spend $6 million for a 32 year old WR that's likely to play only one more year (he stated after that Super Bowl that he'd retire before playing for another team), when the Chiefs still need a starting safety, ILB, right tackle and likely, a CB?
I didn't advocate getting him, read my post again spaz. I said the 49ers are getting away with murder, the 49ers got Boldin and replaced Randy Moss for him for a 6th round pick. I bitched about giving so much for Alex Smith when in comparison they get a great WR like Boldin for a 6th. I'm measuring great players here, and lets face it Boldin is much better at his position than Alex Smith is at his.

If they are going after Goldson then why sign Robinson as a Safety?

signing Goldson means Robinson is a CB.

Recievers rarely bring much back in trades...Especially when they are likely to be cut. Marshall went for like a 3rd and Holmes was dealt for a 5th.

I don't agree with him, but Andy obviously felt that they uggraded the QB position immensely by dealing for Alex. QB's are always going to fetch a higher price. Look at Shaub, Cassel, Flynn....etc.

it's the contract not the draft pick

The Ravens just used the trade to get Boldin out of their conference.

I think Boldin is being undersold quite a bit in this thread. Dude might be slow, but for a guy like him, since when does that matter. He's ALWAYS open. Even when he's blanketed, he's open.

Depends on who it allows Baltimore to sign after freeing up cash and prohibits San Fran from bringing back. I find it strange Baltimore would just give him up for that after he raped during postseason play.

Well, in all honesty, he did.

I would have rather did it with signing Jason Campbell as a free agent and draft Geno versus trade away a second rounder and have the Geno thing up in the air, but Alex Smith is an upgrade to our QB position.

Oh, I definately agree it's an upgarde. But, by how much? Still seems like we have an extremely limited QB that can't win games on his arm. Horrible record when forced to throw over 30 times and when the team gives up 24 points. Sound familiar?
