The shit of it is that Morse has the special needs brother that requires a great deal of resources. Morse is GOING to keep playing because he needs the money to support his family.

The guy will ruin his long-term health because of family. He'll keep trying to play until he simply can't find a doctor that will clear him similar to Jahvid Best.

It sucks.

We need him ready for 2nd half. If he can get some pressure going, him and Dee Ford should be tough!

It remains to be seen what this dude from the Browns is. Can’t remember his name. He might be another possibility

That logic makes sense but how much money does he really need? He has already made a ton relative to most families that have special needs children.

True, but those families are probably doing the best they can within the means they have available to them. That's going to be good, but it's not going to be the best that can possibly be provided.

In his interviews, Morse has made it clear that his brother is the bedrock of his life outside of football. Telling him he can walk away and provide his brother a better life than most other 'normies' isn't gonna carry much weight for him when he knows he can just keep playing, maybe eek out another 2-3 years in the league and in so doing essentially open the 'money is not a consideration' path.

Maybe you're right - maybe he'll walk away and decide that he's earned enough; after agency fees, etc... he's at probably $4 million pre-tax. That's obviously more than most will ever earn. But I just get the impression he's not wired that way. If there's a way for him to provide more at the risk of nothing but his health down the road, I think he'll see that as a risk worth taking.

I could be reading him wrong, but it's just the impression I've gotten from listening to him.

Makes sense. It's a shame for any player that head injuries force a decision like this.

$20 million a year for maybe 6 sacks a year. So, like $3.5 million a sack?

That’s why they drafted Speaks.

Hamstrings are something that are best to rest.

We don’t need Houston till the Rams game.

No reason to risk agrivating the injury unnessesarily.

Get Speaks more experience and let the hammy heal fully.

All that matters is HFA and going into the playoffs at full strength.

Houston is still a far superior run defender to Speaks.

That Houston/Berry games played together number just gets worse all the time.
