I am sure the popular vote had something to do with that.

Well, regardless of what YOU think about his coverage, he is better than Sanders from Indy. If you want to rip on someone for poor coverage rip on SEXY Dexy, not Wesley. Wesley is one of the best players out there, even when we are down Wesley never quits hustling and hitting. Doesn't deserve to go you say? He deserves it as much as anyone.

Sanders is a hitter. Wesley has missed more tackles in a single game than Sanders missed all season. The only thing missing on Wesley's interceptions was the gift wrapping and bow.

I'm not going to give credit to Wesley for hustling, because he should. I don't care who goes in at FS in the AFC over him, he simply doesn't deserve it this year, considering how many times he was completely out of place or whiffed on a tackle.
Allen on the other hand, I thought deserved it over Burgess. Burgess sack numbers warrant a selection, but considering Allen has similar numbers and many more forced fumbles, I think he should've gone. |

Sanders from Indi is playing great football. If you don't think he deserved to get in then you are just being ignorant.
Allen is having a great year, but the only thing he has over the other good DEs in the AFC is forced fumble numbers. Mathis from Indi has more sacks and is tied with Allen in forced fumbles, and he didn't even make it. Burgess is leading the NFL in sacks while Jason Taylor had 60 tackles, 11 sacks, and something like eight passes defensed at the time of selection. Even if you disclude those guys and Freeney, there are still guys like Vanden Bosch from the Titans who at the time of selection was second in the AFC in sacks, and had 50+ tackles. There was also Schobel from the Bills who was tied with Allen in sacks when players were chosen. |

Do I watch football? I watch the Chiefs, you must not or need to go check your stats and get glasses. Sanders had 51 solos 1 int 2 pass def, while his opps got 1 rec on him. Wesley on the other hand has 46 solos 6 int (which 3 were dive fors) 2 pass def and his opp had 0 yes ZERO catches on him. Do you know your players? Here are the links http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/187678
http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/493049 The stats don't lie man. I can't really believe I am seeing Chief fans rip one of great three safties we have had in the past 15 years. I guess you don't like him, I do. Well, we could bicker about it all night but, I am going out to celebrate the new year. I hope you can agree with me that we both are Chiefs fans and Detroit fans till Monday. Hope you all have a happy new year and GO LIONS!! |

I think there have been a few receptions against Wesley this year. Again, do you watch the games? |
