This is a remarkable day for the Royals.

First, an unbelievable pitching matchup for KC: Slowey 4.21 vs. Davies 4.41

Second, David "Iron Man" DeJesus returns to the lineup. Club officials are hopeful that no one will spit a sunflower seed in his direction.

Finally, Joey Gathright is starting his rehab assignment in Omaha. Great news! Hillman hopes that Joey can be back in the lineup soon to bring much needed power to the lower half of the order. The trainers are optimistic that, with proper conditioning, Gathright will be capable of hitting a ball, in the air!!!, to where an outfielder plays at regular depth.

Rosa is about the only pitcher worth anything in triple-A. My gosh the top 3 guys in terms of innings are a combined 9-28 with an average ERA of 5.89.
