And because the Pegula's, McDermott and Beane wanted a "clean" lockerroom to start the new regime.

I'd say it worked out pretty well, considering they made the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

If you seriously are counting on Chesson or Robinson...
This regime has never seriously invested in a WR through the draft. Trading up for Conley in mid rd 3 was it and or conservative QB criminally misused him.

Matt Miller mocked James Washington to us in rd 2 last week and he often says he goes by what he hears.

They clearly want a receiver. I just hope they are smart about getting him.

Ragland tore his ACL in August 2016. The Chiefs brought him along slowly in 2017 and his snaps increased each game in the second half of the season.

He'll have plenty of time to "prove" that he'll be a 3 down linebacker when he's 100%.

For sure

But I wouldn’t be thinking about an extension until he does one way or the other

Yep.

You'd think that the Chiefs under Reid would have learned their lesson about heavily investing in a free agent wide receiver but time will tell.

None of these free agent WR's are "clean". Watkins has been constantly injured and his numbers were pedestrian at best the last two seasons and Allen Robinson is coming off an ACL tear.

It's going to be interesting to see what Veach decides to do but I'd rather they invest in the draft and not in FA.

I remember reading somewhere that Andy didn’t value taking WRs high but that was also written a year or two after he took Jackson and Maclin

I'd love to draft St. Brown (homer alert)....but I think he's going to go higher than we can afford to take him.

If Watkins is such an incredible talent, why did the Rams choose to franchise a 5’8” midget Safety with 3 career INT’s over him?

Does that not scream “red flag” to you?

I wouldn't exactly say "thinking" but best case scenario is that he'll be eligible for an extension after the 2018 season and if he balls out in 2019, he'll get likely get a sizable deal after the 2019 season.

It would be a good problem to have.

You're just talking out of your ass, which is what is so annoying.

You have zero information about Watkins, other than what you read on the internet, yet you know what's best for the Chiefs.

Right.
