Anything you won’t buy online?

I saw a commercial for Carvana and it was talking about well they are doing. I would never buy a new car online and just have it delivered. It got me thinking what other items wouldn’t be good for online purchases. Without including store shopping and comparing then buying online for something simple like a game or something, what are some things you wouldn’t buy online?

Good one, same here. I had a bunch of trees in my cart on fastgrowingtrees.com and almost pulled the trigger but decided against it. Went to a local nursery and picked out six 6' red maples last fall...they're already over 10' tall. I ended up spending about $100 more but so far it was a great purchase.

Same. I hate negotiating, and with a car, there's no escaping the feeling of being raped... from the feeling of having to negotiate the sticker price, to the add-ons, to all the fees.

Hard to imagine getting a big piece of furniture and the not liking it. What a pain in the ass that must be.
I bought a Casper mattress online and they had a 90 day return policy (IIRC), and they would come and pack it up and take it away if needed. I'd think any company attempting to sell stuff like that online would need a pretty attractive return policy.

I went into an Ashley Furniture once and was stalked by a sales guy... we were there for a couch and he wanted us to try out mattresses so we'd get like $50 off or something. We did that and was otherwise stalked for what felt like hours (maybe ~60 minutes).... found a couch. While waiting forever (maybe 20 minutes), I price checked online, and on their own site, the couch was 50% cheaper, as were other things.

He eventually told us that it's basically because you don't have the negotiating power and what not online...

We went somewhere else and had a much better experience, and found a much better couch.... but, I'd definitely consider trying stuff in a store and buying online, or maybe just buying something online with a good return policy, if it meant never having to deal with that bullshit again.

I know that Buy Buy Baby now has a policy of price matching Amazon in the store. I wonder what other places might have that.

Power tools are one I wouldn’t buy online. I look at them all the time online but I want to be able to actually touch them to gage their quality and it also helps with really getting a feel for their size and dimensions. Same thing with furniture.

That's where I bought from and couldn't be happier. Our willow is huge after two seasons and the figs are thriving. I even had to return a couple camellias and had no issues.

Boner pills. I like the uncomfortable look that I get from the pharmacist as he/she stammers how to use them.

Disagree. I’ll try out in store and go to musicians friend. I will use local store to set up and buy various other things but I’m not really interested in paying $500 more.
