Easy checkdown for 9 yards on 1st down. Kareem was wide open bc everybody was scared as hell running downfield.

Now that teams can't put 8 men in the box and dare us to throw deep we should be able to exploit the middle of the field with Kelce and Hunt. When teams scheme to stop the underneath stuff then we go over the top and get even bigger chunks of yards. As long as Patrick finds the open receiver we should be able to move the ball at will. And that's not even counting the amount of room that Hunt should have with all the defensive backs playing soft. This offense will be electric once everybody gets used to it. Defensive coordinators will have nightmares trying to stop it.

Get used to it. That's a very routine play for Mahomes. He makes the game look a lot easier than it is.

Really?

If he had stayed in the pocket and thrown he may have not needed Thomas to dive for it.

There are so many plays he made that were MUCH more impressive than him making an awkward throw for no reason.

One of the biggest criticisms of Mahomes is exemplified on that play. He scrambles and makes a running throw for no reason. Why break from your mechanics in a clean pocket? Just step up and deliver.

Don't get me wrong, it resulted in a *slightly* less accurate pass and I'm a big fan of mahomes. I'm just surprised that's the play that caught your attention.
