Going back as far as 2014:

9/29/14
New England@KC: Pats 14, Chiefs 41

1/16/16
New England@KC: Pats 27, Chiefs 20

9/7/17
KC@New England: Chiefs 42, Pats 27

10/14/18
KC@New England: Chiefs 40, Pats 43

What stands out here? How about the Chiefs have scored at least 40 points in all but one of the four match-ups that Andy Reid has been HC for the Chiefs. In other words, Bill Belichick hans't been able to stop Andy Reid's offense from scoring 40 or more points but one time.

And here's something else to think about: the Chiefs scored 40+ points on the defensive genius Bill Belichick 3 times with Alex Smith as the signal-caller, not the phenom Patrick Mahomes. That's right, 205 yds/game, average less than a TD/game, game manager, can't-consistently-throw-a-ball more than 15 yds, Alex Smith, who somehow averaged 275/game and 2 TDs against Belichick's vaunted D, three times. That Alex Smith.

Something else to consider: while the Chiefs were terrible on defense for the year, at home they were significantly better, as in allowing only 17.4 points a game at home, produced 11 more sacks at home, almost twice as many tackles for a loss at home, more than twice as many passes defensed at home (43 vs 21), and 4 times as many INTs at home (12 vs 3).

In other words, the Chiefs D that the Pats faced in Foxborough three months ago is not the D they will be facing on Sunday. Never mind the fact that Eric Berry is 100% ready to go (didn't play in Foxborough), as is Daniel Sorenson (also DNP in Foxborough), and C. Ward didn't even play in that game and is now a starter.

And let's not forget that Mahomes came back from a 15 point deficit in the first half to take the lead from the Pats in the second half in FOXBOROUGH, and it was the defense that let him and the Chiefs down, not Mahomes.

Now, with all due respect to the Patriots and Tom Brady, who is the best QB in the NFL and probably the best QB in the history of the NFL, but it's the Patriots D that has been the issue between these two teams, and in the last six years, they have been found lacking on a consistent basis, to the tune of just under 100 points allowed in four meetings.

So, it's not a stretch by any means that the Chiefs should win this game by double digits; in fact, history tells is that it should be a Chiefs victory by double digits with Mahomes at the helm.

Peace.

And yeah, not to mention the weather. Brady has played through it all and can easily tune it out. Chiefs are going to learn really quickly that it fng hurts to catch a ball in these conditions...that it fng hurts to fall to the frozen ground...You guys are just not going to be able to handle it. Sorry. Pats are off to yet another SB.

You are 100% correct. Brady and Belcher know how to handle handle balls in this weather. First they massage each other's in the locker room and deflate the ones on the field.

It's going to be a hard lesson for the chiefs considering it never gets below freezing out here and Arrowhead is a brand new stadium.

Do you really think KC hasn't played in cold weather?

Yeah because KC in the winter is comparable to Maui, so cold weather will really shock these guys. Great point.

Pats get pantsed on the big stage, then score a couple in garbage time to keep the score respectable.

Do you mean after the Chiefs dominated the Hottest team in the NFL- the Colts, from start to finish?

Everybody's feeling it; playoff Chiefs are far more intense than regular season Chiefs. We'll take the win and do so by two or more scores.

What a difference a Mahomes makes!

And the Pats dynasty will collapse once and for all.

We will be heroes to everyone in the league, since no one outside of Boston is really a Pats fan. Everyone is tired of the Pats, and this will reignite interest to an otherwise boring and stale league (before Mahomes, Mayfield, Goff etc). And remap the landscape of the AFC for the next generation once Toms old creepy ecentric ass is done for . Pats fans can revert back to Pre Brady and stop caring about “their”team , and not even really know who the players are

We won’t be able to hit Brady, because like Manning, he’s too much of a bitch to ever think about ever having any contact whatsoever. So just get pressure and he’ll throw it to avoid a hit, or my personal favorite throw it directly into the dirt.
