Ideally, he replaces Conley's productivity on offense and Tremaine Smith's in the return game.

I've heard that they had a deal to move up to the latter part of the first to take the cb but after the audio dropped they decided to hold off.

And we actually traded up with the same team later in the draft so I'd say there were discussions at least.
