Looks like the hard drive is getting ready to fail. I would back up whatever you need and make sure that Windows is authenticated with a Microsoft Account. You can then use the existing key on a new computer using the same account without having to pay for another license.

I did try, but have not found it yet. Could it be under a different name?

Possibly, I'm not real familiar with Dell machines. Typically, it will be in the integrated peripherals area.
Does F1 simply bring you back to the error? Have you tried F12 and then selecting the hard drive to boot from it? If all else fails, determine the manufacturer of the drive, go to their site on another computer, download and burn a disc with their testing software on it. Boot from that using F12. Turn off Smart Reporting in bios setup. Save it. Restart your PC.

Your best bet is to get a cheap external USB HDD enclosure. Take the drive out of the Dell and put it in the enclosure. Plug it in to another windows machine and copy the stuff you need off of it

I am pretty sure I have everything off of it anyway. Bought a 5TB external a few years ago and moved files.
Tried really hard not to put anything on the HD of the computer. Just wanted to double check. I think it is dead Jim.
