I'm not saying a OLB has more upside than a potential QB, but if they don't think Geno is that guy, I don't have a problem taking Ansah.
I'd rather have Mingo but as previously admitted, I've only watched a few of Ansah's full snaps. He did play quite a bit better as OLB.

As of right now, our 2 pass rushers are OLB's. Poe has upside, but at this point thats about it.

I don't see Houston, Ansah, or Hali moving inside to rush the passer.

I always thought they slid Tuck inside to the 3 tech and played Strahan/Osi outside in the 7 and 9. Could be wrong though.

I'm with you. Mingo and Jordan *seem* like better fits than Ansah.

Again, I'll admit, I'm not a fan of BYU players.

From what DeVito said, we'll be running some 4-3 sets.

I think Ansah or Jordan would get a lot of PT and would help us a lot. We only had 27 sacks last year and only have 2 guys capable of putting heat on the QB.

Jordan seems like the better pick to me. I wonder if Hali could move in and play the DE?

I think Poe becomes a stud in this defense.

I know Tuck did play some 3 tech, while I'm pretty sure Strahan played a lot inside on passing downs just because of how strong he was.

The MU fans seem against it, but I would take Richardson over Ansah.

Poe, Richardson, Hali, Houston and Lemonier all on the field together could be awesome.

I hope he does. He showed some good things in the later part of last year.

I hated him the day we drafted him, but he's slowly starting to grow on me.

Haha

That includes his 7 million dollar SB.

[x]
3/24/2013: Signed a four-year, $17 million contract. The deal contains $8.25 million guaranteed, including a $7 million signing bonus. The annual $1 million roster bonuses in years two through four are contingent on Vollmer playing 80 percent of the Patriots' offensive snaps in the prior season. Another $9 million is available through incentives based on playing time and Pro Bowl berths. 2013: $1.25 million, 2014: $2 million (+ $1 million '13 play-time roster bonus), 2015: $2.25 million (+ $1 million '14 play-time roster bonus + $1 million in per-game roster bonuses), 2016: $2.25 million (+ $1 million '15 play-time roster bonus + $1 million in per-game roster bonuses), 2017: Free Agent

For what is quite possibly the best right tackle in football, that's nothing more than a bag of chips.

Seriously, look at the current free agent list...it contains two top ten right tackles because NOBODY wants to pay them.

Honestly I can't remember.

Strahan definitely was capable enough to play the 3 tech on subs or other fronts.

If Reid can put together a good offense here like he had in the Philly heydays, I would love to grab all the pass rushers we could. We are gonna be ahead alot, and teams won't get running the ball at will on us.

He was born in a country that doesn't record bjrthdates like we do. Any number that's thrown out as his age is a guess that could be changed to benefit him.

The guy looks a lot older than 22/23.
