I prefer guys like Worthy, Mitchell, and Coleman, but I wouldn't hate it. |

These WRs we’re discussing all have the talent to thrive in KC. But I want the guy who loves the game and is going to have that fire we see from Kelce and even Rice now. Everything I’ve heard out of McConkey this week makes me think it could be him. |

It would be very Evil Empire to grab McConkey end of round 1.

Not to mention that a large percentage of his touches were manufactured, let's not forget that.

That being said, from the Bengals game on when they really started to let him play >80% of the snaps and built some plays around him, it was different. He was winning a lot at the intermediate level of the field. I think he can be what JuJu was with the backshoulder ball down field and it flashed - something he and Patrick need to rep all summer long. |

All offenses will do it to some extent. That's not really the point. Again, it wasn't a criticism, Chris. It was just an observation, one brought up by several others during the season before I ever did. But it isn't irrelevant either. A WR that can't consistently win on his own merits is going to be limited; and we've had too many of those in the very recent past, and the offense has struggled because of it. Hopefully, Rice will advance his game above that limited level; I believe he's on his way in that regard. But again, I'm not going to sugarcoat my opinions either. Have a nice day.

Reid's offense always has a ton of what you could call 'manufactured touches'. A TON. That doesn't mean a player CAN'T just run a route and get open. Andy loves his gadget stuff and screens and whatnot. I see no reason for pause, especially as the season went on and Rice did more out in the pattern. Reality is that if you take the second half of the season as your base and double it, you're looking at a 1300 or so WR. That's a pretty good WR in any offense. |

What snark? What part of my post sounded snarky? Thought I went out of my way to be polite/congenial, tbh.

With Rice they would be 1a/1b with complimentary skillsets. He's one of the best at going for the ball in the air. Absolute dog for his size.

Yep, he has that Welker/Edelmann/Renfrow intense sneaky nastiness to get it done. He fits in perfectly with our offensive game. An actual awesome/elite route possession receiver with actual speed and quickness to ball out. He is football tough and definitely loves the game.
