Springer/Vlad Jr and Bichette combined probably have an OPS just barely north of .600. And if you take away the 5 day stretch from Vlad where he had 2 homers and 5 hits, they wouldn't even be scratching .600. What the hell happened to those guys?

Stop bitching because you're shitty right now. Maybe get fat again? Or skinny again? Or whatever the **** it was you did for that season when you actually lived up to the hype. Y'know, that ONE season. In your 6 years in the league. Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Vlad Jr. is fat Casey Kotchman.

Bichette is as streaky as it gets (and appears to be going through one of the worst cold streaks of his career) while Springer is just old at this point and is effectively turning into late career Joe Carter/Vernon Wells for the Jays. The Jays should be rebuilding. |

Don't give him anything to hit - he's gonna swing anyway and probably put the ball on the ground. For one year he was selective and waited for a pitch to drive. So he could elevate it even without massive changes to his swing. Every year before and since he's just been way too aggressive up there. Maybe if he had some real thunder behind him in the lineup pitchers would come at him again but with Bichette doing dick and the rest of the lineup atrophying around him, there's just no reason to throw him a strike. It ain't like he's gonna hurt you on the bases.
