Burfict is a dangerous player. A danger to other players and to himself, and to his team.

I said after the AB hit, which was completely unnecessary and obviously intentional, that he should've been suspended for a season.

Only an imbecile like you would love players like that. This probably explains why you act like you have CTE. You took too many blows to the skull.

This will be Burfict's last chance too. Assuming this suspension is upheld, which it ought to be, after it is inevitably subjected to appeal, if he has another headhunting shot that deserves suspension, it will be elevated to lifetime ban I suspect.

The precedent that if you have been fined 17 times previously and suspended multiple times for unnecessary roughness and dirty plays that eventually you will be suspended for a season or more?

Because you were the first one, for one.

For two, you tried imply that he had absolutely no choice but to crack his dome. HE OUTWEIGHS HIM BY 50 POUNDS. Horseshit. It was an illegal hit and you can't seem to own it.

Third, I hadn't seen the highlight where he was down. I walked back that it is worse after you posted it.

Fourth, I was trying to get through how absurd you sounded trying assert that he had no choice other than to crack his dome.

Fifth, I've engaged other posters on it. But none of them were saying HE'S SO BIG THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO BRING THIS GIANT ****ING GRIZZLY BEAR DOWN.

If you had just come in and said, "**** Burfict - he's a piece of shit. Our guy got away with one but it's nowhere near as bad as ****head's." I'd have been fine with that. But no, you went through a ridiculous outline of how he had no choice. It's asinine. I was off base by saying Allen's hit was worse - I didn't know the guy was down. I walked mine back, but I take it to your sticking to your guns that he had no choice?

Who lowers his helmet here, Jones or Allen? Does Allen slide or do anything to suggest he's not trying to get more yards? Does Jones launch? Does Jones try to get his shoulder in there, or is he using his helmet as a weapon?

The only real option Allen had there was to get out of the way, that's definitely not in the same realm as what Burfict did.

I appreciate that objective take from Matt Dolloff, Boston-based sportswriter.

(In fairness, Allen put himself in position for it. But it's the Patriots, so I know there's cheating somewhere. They tilted the field slightly or something.)

I don't see any appeal granted or reduction in suspension. If you read what the VP of the NFL said when announcing this punishment he made it really clear that the NFL has seen enough of VB.
