Deep pass down the sideline to start, 12 yard completion to Maclin for a first down (no catch and run bullshit), and the interception over the middle.
This was not your typical Alex Smith passing which equates to the checkdown, the run, or a sack. Even on the play he took off running, he was actually still looking downfield. Granted, none of the passes were particularly impressive, but when what, 80% of your passes don't travel past 6 yards......its not going to be instantly awesome. Just seeing the guy attempt something out of his comfort zone is encouraging. Whether or not it pays off, and he should remain the starter remains to be seen.
