Name brand food items only.

Was thinking about this today. We buy a lot of off-brand items (I'm cheap) but have a few select things in which the generic doesn't match up.

Off the top of my head they are Ruffles chips, Ketchup and Litehouse Blue Cheese Dressing.

What about you?

/I love the off-season.

I no longer buy any tea in the grocery store . Too many bagged teas at the store taste like wood dust after moving to loose leaf tea. I use a Organic Iyerpadi for a daily ice tea blend, and a Wu-yi Oolong green tea for hot tea. Pretty much the only thing I drink anymore beyond water and juice.

I go through a lot of Premiere Protein shakes and they're pretty expensive (plus they're always sold out locally) so I'm often forced to buy Great Value.

The caramel are indistinguishable from each other but there's a definite taste difference in the chocolate.

I used to be really brand-conscious, but now it's more about what's best.

Here are some brands I still seek out:

Old Bay Seasoning
Wheat Montana Flour
Red Gold tomatoes
Lee Kum Kee for anything Asian
Penzey's? I guess it's a brand and I buy nearly all my spices there.

Brands I used to buy but there are other/better options:

Hellman's mayo
Ken's Salad Dressing
Land 'O Lakes butter

I do like Lighthouse pretty well, Brianna's is good. If I'm going to get crazy I'll but it from Ted's Montana grill or Buffalo's Cafe here in Georgia.

I like art's also. I used to know everyone in the place. Krizman's also has an awesome cheddar jalapeno sausage, and a great bbq roll too.
