MARYVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee man was jailed on felony charges after appearing to dip his testicles into a container of salsa that a customer had ordered online.

The delivery driver allegedly recorded it and posted a video online, saying "This is what you get when you give an 89 cents tip for an almost 30-minute drive."

News outlets report that the passenger, 31-year-old Howard Matthew Webb, was arrested last week and charged with adulteration of food.

Dinner Delivered said the food service has fired the driver and forwarded information about her to authorities as well.

Webb remains behind bars pending a March 12 hearing.

There’s no statement he has herpes. The only thing that would come in contact with the salsa is his crotum, which is skin. If his scrotum is intact, that is, it doesn’t have open sores capable of transmitting bodily fluids, this is, medically speaking, no different than dipping your fingers or your elbow or your toes into the salsa. Culturally his use of his testicles displays a level of contempt or anger that fingers don’t. But medically speaking, there’s no difference.

I think it’s gross and the guy deserves to be fired and fined but based on this article, I don’t see why it’s a felony.

I saw the video a couple of days ago before they pulled it, he did it.

So would the guy ask for the salsa back, and say he was going to get him a new one, if when he showed up to deliver the food, the guy handed him a $20 tip when he got to the door?
