Time to re-evaluate.

Prior to this game I believed we were going to the Super Bowl. I no longer believe that. We are too sloppy, make too many unforced errors, and consistently mis manage game situations. I think the ceiling is a first or second round loss.

Anyone else finding themselves needing to change opinions on the team?

The Pats have a history of losing to MIA. At least twice when Tannehill was QB.

At this point that's what it looks like. Andy won't get Mahomes to the bowl. He's a one trick pony for offense and that's it and it's not good enough. Not a tough guy mentally. Teams take on the attitude of thier coach. Soft and nice is ours. We have nice guys when we need street fighters.

It's not January yet.

Look, I was as upset about the loss today as anyone. Not gonna obfuscate or embroider it.

But that Titans team beat the Patriots last year and went on to not only get into the playoffs but win a SB. And, by the way, that same Patriots team also lost to the Lions last year, a loss that everyone here probably laughed their asses off about, I'm sure.

And while we're at it, let's look around the league this week. The Packers lost the the Chargers. Then the Chargers lost to the Raiders. The Colts lost to MIAMI. The Saints lost to the Falcons, for pete's sake. Buffalo, a team that many people thought were a good team, lost to the BROWNS today. The NFC Super Bowl contender from last year just lost to Mason freaking Rudolph and the Steelers, a bottom 25 team.

I don't remember what other losses the Patriots had last year, but they didn't look that good at one point or another, and certainly never looked as good offensively as this team does right now. Or last year, for that matter.

You can freak out about this loss and make it fit whatever doomsday narrative you want, that's your prerogative. Or you can chalk it up to just a bad day. It happens. In fact, it happened to most of the playoff-bound teams this week.

It's not like our offense couldn't score. Or that our defense couldn't get off the field. Yeah, our defense gave up a lot of yards on the ground.

But they only allowed four scoring drives out of the Titans' 10 total drives. They forced four punts, forced a fumble, and forced a turn-over on downs. And they forced that last turn-over on downs with 1:40 to go in the game.

A botched snap is what ultimately lost the game.

Not some complete failure by the offense or the defense.

We got a bad bounce. It happens. Moving on to the Chargers.

The only bash that I have is your thinking that Reid has had anything to do with Mahomes. The plays that Mahomes makes are all him, Reid has nothing to do with the field vision or ability of Mahomes.

What Reid has everything to do with is the lack of discipline and softness of this team.
