Trying to book a place but it's a little complicated. They want me to send credit card statement to verify my use of my card. Is this legit?

Something not right with this post......

Airbnb has always been good by me. The only issues I've encountered is some people describing their place like a golden palace and the place is really old and beat up. Not recent photos or they cleaned the place up just for the photos and live like slobs.

Had one that had a lot of bugs inside the house here in AZ. That was pretty offputting.

Have used VRBO several times. Never had any issues. Always go only with premier owners.

Always cheaper than hotels by a long shot. Stayed at an awesome place in San Fran area for 3 nights and was half the cost of shitty hotel.

AirBNB is freaking awesome. It's way easier than a hotel. They don't freak out if you check out a half hour late or something.

Also like 1/3 the price of a hotel. Now keep in mind I do the rent the room option, which allows me to save tons of the money. When I go on trips it's usually for poker and I'm barely around anyway.

We are going to NYC during Christmas and booked an Airbnb and the guy canceled on me the other day. ****ing asshole and now there isn't much reasonable options left so I am going to stay in a hotel.

First bad experience I have had with Airbnb.

AirBNB is legit, though you might want to verify your acc well before you go on a trip.
I once went to Providence, tried to setup Airbnb at 9 AM and waited 12+ hrs for verification... didn't work out that day.
