Yeah, that is true.

But I'm not gonna be jaded based on the previous regime and Andy's other moves that, a normal person like Reid, would learn from.

Until he gives me reason here in KC, I'm giving him the chance to impress or depress.

Ive heard that was more of Castillo's idea and talked andy into. Forget where I heard it but who knows. Yes he has flaws. No doubt but so do alot of coaches. Still love the hire

That's all I'm pointing out here.
That he's made head-scratching decisions in the past.
This one, if true, would seem to fall into that category.

But I'm willing to reserve judgment and see how this plays out.

Eh, I think you're overblowing this a little bit.

Castillo from OL coach to DC was a bad decision. Pederson from QB coach to OC, is kind of the natural evolution of offensive coaches.

The bone I'm picking is with inexperience in the role he'd be hired for.
It's not that he went from one side of the ball to the other.
The issue is not having had experience coordinating a defense.
He wasn't qualified because he didn't have that kind of experience.
Same thing with Pederson.

You can honestly say that you're in no way concerned about Pederson's lack of coordinator experience at ANY level?

You can honestly say the fact that he has no coordinator experience, at any level, doesn't concern you at all?
Concern? Yeah I guess a little. Although I think we all still have residual feelings from the previous regime's ineptness.

But experience isn't everything. Daboll had experience. Same with Bill Muir.

Another fair point. Experience is valuable when it's produced success.
I'd prefer a guy with experience and some level of past success.
So push come to shove, gimme Chilly at OC.

Yeah, I'd prefer experience, but it isn't the end all be all.

Kind of the same argument with the good ole boys NFL. Guys get jobs based on who they are, not really what they bring to the table.

I would be concerned, but with Childress here to tutor him and give him advice, I think he will be fine. I do not think that Childress or Reid for that matter are going to let the offense get off track.

The only way to get experience is to get it. Andy Reid is as veteran of leadership as you can hope for, and having another strong former OC and HC on the offensive team would help tremendously.

I'm not sweating it at all. I am just hoping that whoever coordinates this offense has to deal with a rookie QB.

WAY more concerned about our defensive staff.
