From a financial standpoint, they can't trade the first this year. They need a good player for 5 years.

I've seen a couple of people say 3.6M for Verrett would be ok if it was incentive heavy. What exactly does that mean on a 1 year deal in terms of cap space? If he gets hurt and plays no games, do you get an extra 3.6 to use the next season or does it just save Clark 4 mil? If it's the latter, who gives a shit?
