Personally I think Aaron Rodgers is a weird guy- just the vibe I get. I mean he didn't lock down Olivia Munn for life so I don't think you can trust him.

Drew Brees doesn't give a shit about the team. He squeezes every cent out of the organization even if it hurts the team's chances to win. There was a 3-year span where the Saints' salary cap was all jack up and Brees still told them to **** off that his salary was the most important thing.

Maybe Rodgers has to be an asshole because of the Packers ruining his career? They ruined part of his career with Thompson and then McCarthy was clearly held onto way too long.
He’s reaching the last stretch of his career. Can you blame him for questioning that franchise bringing in such a young guy with no HC experience?

McCarthy was sneaking a masseuse up to his office and playing hooky while the Packers were in meetings.

https://thelab.bleacherreport.com/gu...rlman-excerpt/ I suspect the seeds of Rodgers being a piece of shit were planted by Favre being absolutely awful to him, like an abused child who himself later grows up to be an abuser. Thank God we have an organization with good people. |

“It's as simple as what Brady did in the AFC title game, handing the ball off to backs 47 times to keep Patrick Mahomes off the field. “
All I got out of reading that horseshit is we need a defense. Tired of this shit keeping Mahomes off the field. |

Peter King was on Eisen today and said Thompson was mostly to blame for his narrow vision of team building, with Aaron and Mike close behind That sounded right to me But the more I know about Rodgers, the more it seems he is either lacking something, or has too much of something, as you allude to... he just isn't a natural born killer Patrick Mahomes on the other hand... |

I guess I'm on the other side of the fence concerning Rodgers, because I've said for several years now that if I were him, I'd be pissed too. And the funny thing is, I'm not a Rodgers fan. I can respect and admire his abilities and his career accomplishments, but I never liked him for whatever reason. Too much "surfer boy" mentality for me, I guess.
However . . . He plays for an organization that just doesn't seem invested in winning the SB. Instead, they seem content with a team that wins enough to probably get into the playoffs, but not good enough to make a serious run to the SB. They never explore free agency to try and give him better weapons offensively. When's the last time they signed a quality, maybe All-Pro WR? A top-tier pass-catching TE? Or how about their chronic inability to field a decent RB? How many years was it (for two years maybe three?) they didn't even have a starting RBof any kind ; they used a third-string WR to play RB. For how many years was Jordy Nelson his no.1 WR? What scrub do they have now playing WR1? Forget whoever is playing WR2 . . . Here's where someone's going to say, "but they gave him Jimmy Graham last year!" Okay, they did. but let's be honest about jimmy Graham. As talented as he is at pass-catching, he's not a well-rounded TE. He doesn't block at all. he's even said in interviews he doesn't like or want to block. For that reason he doesn't like being lined up inside; he might have to block. He wants to always be lined up split wide, which means that he's probably only going to on the field when it's definitely a passing play. Probably every team in the league noticed that early. Which resulted in Graham being little more than a public-relations band-aid for the fans. Moving on. The offensive game plan hasn't changed since McCarthy took the job as HC, in spite of the fact that the game was changing throughout the rest of the NFL. Does anyone honestly think that Aaron Rodgers can't do most of the things that Mahomes did last season? He's probably just as mobile, we know he's pretty good at slipping the rush, he's adept at finding the open receiver, and oh yeah, he's got a sniper rifle for an arm. Put another way, if Rodgers was the QB for the Chiefs, with Ried as his OC/HC, does anyone really think that Rodgers couldn't have similar statistics to what Mahomes had last year? To the D . . . The Packers D has been a literal sieve for at least half a decade now. Especially against the run. As in the Packers D has been ranked in the bottom 5 or 6 in the league against the run for years now. Again no help for Clay Matthews; they just moved him around from OLB to ILB to try and hide the fact that the whole front-seven was compiled from the NFL's scrap heap. And wasn't it last year or the year before they put a WR in to play CB for awhile? What is that? Maybe they thought imitating my high school football team from 35 years ago was a good plan? Like I said, I've never been a Rodgers fan, but I tend to follow the top 10 QBs, just because I like watching solid QB play. But I noticed 5 or 6 years ago that the Packers weren't making much of an attempt at surrounding Rodgers with good young talent year to year. And that the offensive game plan had gotten stale about 4 years ago. And that Rodgers was getting visibly frustrated on the field around that time. And he has to know (in other words, he can self-evaluate) that his prime years have been wasted. That he probably should have at least another ring on his finger, if not two. And that the organization doesn't seem motivated to do anything about it. IMHO, I've thought for a couple years now that he should've asked to be traded. Though I've read more than once that he has never wanted to be traded, that he's always wanted to end his career as a Packer. Maybe the organization knew that, and have been using that against him. But what do I know. At the end of the day I'm just a fan. |
