The most expensive/valuable thing you own?

That is not a house or a car or a house necessity like air conditioners, refrigerators, or other appliances, etc. It would be boring if everyone just had to say their furnace or something. Furniture, electronics, TVs and things like that count though.

It’s clear what expensive means. But by valuable, meaning something’s monetary value, not just personal value.

Salt water coral reefs. It’s a hobby I’ve had for a few years now.

So I realize it's open ended, but monetary value in how much it cost to purchase or how much you could sell it for now?

House and car you ruled out. My computer is actually a businesses expense so that is technically a necessity.

I suppose the interesting answer as far as money spent is rock climbing and mountaineering equipment but it doesn't have resale value. And it's not a single item.

I suppose valuable thing I own that is not a necessity to me is a million dollars (more or less) of pasture land I inherited in NE Kansas but I just think of that as part of my 401K.

i don’t really have anything of value besides the cars/house. Most of my Chiefs stuff ain’t worth more $100 at the most.

I collected cards in the 90’s. Have no idea what they are worth now since the card market crashed. Probably the tobacco card or the authentic Cardinals game used card that only 18 exist. Pujols, Bob Gibson and Red game used Jerseys. Stan the man, Ozzie and Hornsby game used bats all on one card. I rotate the cards out in the display. That’s what’s out now.

Expense and value are not the same thing.

The things I value the most don’t have significant financial value.
There isn’t a price on the gun I got from my grandpa, but he only paid $8 for it when it got back from Europe.

That's a nice display design.

What's a game used card?
