I'm not sure how they will schedule these games, but it could be 4 teams to each site? Surely we will get Bulgaria, Ghana, S. Korea, and Denmark. If you are a Danish girl, all you'll need is about $6 cash to enjoy 2 weeks of drinking.

For those planning on buying tickets.

I have no idea if you can buy earlier or if this exemption is even worth waiting for.

Quote:
House Bill 1606
SALES TAX EXEMPTION FOR SOCCER TICKETS (Section 144.051)

Beginning June 1, 2026, and ending July 31, 2026, a sales tax exemption is authorized for the sale of tickets to matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament held in Jackson County.

No, we want them all just to qualify (which Brazil will) then we just need to find out in what city these teams will be playing their group stages

From talking to some people it looks like KC would have a minimum of 4 games but will most likely see 5 or 6. There is also a decent chance the US team calls it home during their stay here because of it being centrally located and also because the national training center is here. Facility wise it is about as good as it gets.

That certainly will not be happening. Would be amazing! But not even a remote possibility. Would be surprised if we got a semi final even.

If the USMNT is training in KC, good odds they play in KC also?

I believe fifa breaks up tickets into different blocks and offers locals a chance at first dibs/discounted tickets.

I saw a grid online a few months ago that offered Qataris just that.

There is a "major announcement" happening tomorrow relating to the World Cup in KC:

Link: https://www.kshb.com/sports/world-cu...hared-thursday

Quote:
'Major' announcement on 2026 FIFA World Cup in Kansas City to be shared Thursday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Back in June 2022, Kansas City learned its bid to welcome the world and host the 2026 FIFA World Cup was a success.

Now, some of the leaders working to bring the event together are gearing up to make a "major" announcement, according to the Kansas City Sports Commission.

At 11 a.m. Thursday, local government leaders, including Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Quinton Lucas and Jackson County Executive Frank White Jr., will be joined by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson and Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to deliver the news.

Prominent figures in Kansas City's sporting community will also attend the press conference, including Kathy Nelson, president and CEO of the Kansas City Sports Commission and Visit KC, Kansas City Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, and Cliff Illig, principal owner of Sporting Kansas City.

Kansas City business leaders will be present at the event as well.

FIFA recently announced the official brand of the 2026 World Cup will be revealed Wednesday. Projections and events for the 16 host cities will be shared on May 18, too.

"The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the biggest single-sport event ever," a release from FIFA stated. "Three host countries, 16 Host Cities, 48 teams and 104 matches will unite an entire continent and showcase a momentous new tournament to ensure the ultimate football show."

The full list of U.S. host cities includes Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.

Toronto and Vancouver will be the host cities in Canada, while Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey were selected as the event's destinations in Mexico.

This is a joke. This facility has not once been used by either the USMNT or the USWNT for training.

Sporting stole $ to get themselves a really nice facility for themselves.

The only chance it had to ever be where the National team has their training camps was if Vermes were to become HC which we know will never happen now.
