Blake Bortles > Alex Smith

He made clutch throws downfield in the 2nd half to protect the lead and win despite his defense struggling. He has a 100% lifetime playoff win percentage. He is better than Alex Smith!

Thank you!!!

Yeah, but his defense gave up a 21 point lead! I've been led to believe there's no way to win in that scenario...

First post is the end of the thread.

Your defense gives up points? GUESS WHAT YOUR JOB IS AS A QB.

Chiefs fans trying to justify this shit by talking mostly defense or "bad luck."

It's not "bad luck." If your QB isn't a ****ing pussy, you can win those games with 2+ TD leads.

Alex does not. He depends on the defense to make every ****ing stop. When they don't, he loses, and his fans bitch about how he needs more support.

Alex has been given enough support and enough weapons. The goal isn't to see how far he can go with an absolutely PERFECT team. How many QBs in their careers ever get what he's had in terms of team talent the past 5 years in KC and 3 years in SF? Very few.

He's a bag of shit.

What I ask from his defenders is would a Rodgers, Brady, Rothlisberger, Brees etc... been one and done as often as Smith has been with this team? We can look at his QBR and say that regular season Smith might have had better stats than these guys, but ultimately Smith lacks the “it” factor needed to win when it matters most. Some will continue to defend that and blame everything else. One FG in the second half was all we needed to win that game regardless of how the defense performed. We could not do that.

And someone needs to give the Chiefs a first round draft pick for the bag of shit. At the very least, 2 seconds.

The whole point of what he did was, he went and made some really good throws in a shootout with an elite QB. Alex does NOT do that, when the Chiefs get into that scenario ALEX just tries to not **** it up. He doesnt attack. THats the whole problem.

I disagree, in the sense that Alex DOES make good throws, and he DOES take big shots that test a defense

Its just that he usually makes those highlight throws in the first half, builds up a decent lead... then goes back to playing it safe in the second half, as opposed to Bortles who sucked ass the first half, then hit some clutch shots in the second

Its a trend I've noticed with Smith all year... he'll ball the **** out in the first half, then hope to coast through it with his typical safe style in the second

That just doesnt work against most teams, they're not gonna quit grinding just because you're up 14

NO Alex does not do that in a shootout. Alex doesnt do shoot outs. When he's given the opportunity more times then not, he fails and fails miserably!
