Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band
Last Night about 7pm, (6pm Central) the Lt. Dan Band performed here at The Villages in Florida. Unfortunately I didn't go, I had to watch the Browns and Pats and then the Chiefs Game. Plus I knew there would be too many people, I think they had about 10,000.
For those who don't know, Gary Sinise who played Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump and was star of CSI NY has since 2003 had a rock band and puts on free shows for veterans. We have about 20,000 veterans living here in The Villages out of 130,000 people. His organization raises funds and builds houses for wounded vets and currently he wants to send a 1,000 kids to Disney World who lost a parent in combat. Here's a highlight video of last night, that's Gary playing bass in front in the hat. |
