Could Sony finally be unveiling the PlayStation 4?

The company is holding an event Feb. 20 to talk about the future of PlayStation. Announced via its Twitter account, a page for the event simply shows the date and time of the event (6 p.m. EST) along with the short teaser version shown above, with no other information about what it has in store

Earlier this month, Sony announced that it will stop selling the PlayStation 2. The PlayStation 3 has been on the market since 2006, which makes the company due for a next-generation console. The PlayStation 4 has been heavily rumored to be launching in 2013.

It was supposed to start at 6pm eastern, yet in the same breath they say "coming up in 30 minutes"...7pm eastern.

Instant live streaming is ****ing awesome.. Spectate mode -- you can watch your friends playing their games - live - they can also grant you control so you can assist them with a difficult part of the game.

Vita thing is cool, not sure how useful it will be for me though. Someone who has a shared TV though, cool.

He said it's their goal to have the PS4 eventually be backwards compatible to all PS (1, 2, 3) titles. Sounds like they're working on it.
