Do you still think that Gammons is a wasted roster spot?

A lot of talk on this board this off season about letting Gammons go and use his spot for some other position for depth and let Jared Allen long snap. Welllll lets just end that thinking right now.

Cincy at Denver is all we will need to say.

BTW, How long has Gammon been without a bad snap now? 7 years?

Keep Gammon as long as he can play. I remember last year when he was gone... it was TERRIBLE.

I've never took the long snapper for granted.

His fill in (don't remember his name) blew a few.

All the sudden hs value is huge.

Could Jared Allen fill in for Gammons and have a 7 year run? I doubt it.

Kendall is one of those guys we just have to bite the bullet for, LS is such an overlooked, unheralded position until a guy blows a game with a bad snap like the replacement last year.

We do need to start looking for the LSOTF, but there is no reason to get rid of him at this point.

if you need to cut some dead wieght there is some other areas
with the veteran cut for aged players
he probably is not expensive
and it is GAMMON DAMM IT

In all seriousness, I think Gammon may have a secret plan to play to 50. We've never heard mention that he's considering retiring, and I think his job could be done by an older player. Will his snapping skills deteriorate with age? Not that much. He then just has to get knocked down, get up, and run downfield half a dozen times per game. I think a player could do that for a long time.
