Dumb.

He is a pocket passer. How many times have we seen Rodgers evade pressure and then chuck it downfield?

If, If, If..... They ain't s*** even if their D is improved. Overrated offense, we shut them down twice...

17/41, 117 yds, 2.9 avg, 49.1 passer rating. Carr's numbers against us the second time he played us...

IF's?

IF our defense plays at an elite level and our running game is Top 5, we can surely make the playoffs and get bounced quickly...

It was a dumb post by you to mention RG3

Per USA Today:

The 22-year-old is underrated as a pocket passer. He’s willing to go through his progressions for the most part and, at times, he’ll show off some deft pocket movement while keep his eyes downfield.

That's an idiotic statement.

If you guys hate Alex Smith so much, here's some advice, don't watch the season. Find something better to do with your time.

The NFL has never produce any worthy QB from the Big 12 other than Aikman that I can think of-

Josh Freeman, RGIII, Kordell Stewart, etc

Chiefs dropped the ball.. Should have taken Watson.. Watson played against the best players in college... put up 400 yards vs Bama...

This is the Jamarcus Russell pick of the Chiefs-

Good quarterback coaches wanted the kid (Payton, Arians etc..)

He's legit.

TT Air Raid offense is nothing like the NFL. You can substitute Lynches name in the above article because the point it's trying to make with that comment can apply to just about any college QB who runs a similar offense to TT's.

Ok?

Not sure what that has to do with our pocket passer discussion.

My main point is Mahomes isn't a read-option type quarterback like an RG3. He has the ability to pass from the pocket, as well as evade pressure, buy time and make big throws downfield.

Maybe but what "progressions" did he have in the TT offense? He might of had one other option had his first WR been covered.

What if Mahomes turns out to be a bust? What if Mahomes breaks his leg in pre season than Smith breaks his arm in week 1. Than Bray leads us to the super bowl and we win 49-0.
