Compare the chiefs secondary to the ravens. One group communicates (almost intuitively) the other doesn't. My guess is this involves extensive work in this area by a coach. Also, groups tend to adopt the demeanor or attitude of the leader. Our appearance on defense seems to lack passion. I don't see how we could go wrong by giving some of the younger players a chance?

Ravens secondary is good because it's made up of veterans and young guys but the team actually spends a shitload of cap resources on it.

Jimmy Smith - 13 million
Eric Weddle - 8 million
Brandon Carr - 7 million
Tony Jefferson - 5.6 million

Chiefs went cheap in the secondary besides Berry and when they do pay someone they pay somone like Sorensen almost the same as Tony Jefferson and hes not even close that caliber of player.

Scandrick.

They were supposed to cross up to get angles to prevent the pick play or crosser that Sutton (and everyone else) knew was coming. Fuller went to cross, Scandrick tried to go man and picked Fuller for LA.

Berry is still the best person in our secondary when he's out there, but we may need to find somebody a bit more reliable.

And let's not throw "pitch count" and "desire" into the conversation; the bottom line is he simply wasn't there, again, when we needed him.

Scandrick and Fuller both let a receiver run wide open for a TD. Sutton is clueless in what happened. Cut the entire secondary besides EB I don’t give a shit it can’t get worse.

Keep Fuller, Lucas, and Berry.

Everyone else you mentioned need to either retire or go to Buffalo to be a starter.
