The only possible action is false light, if they knowingly did selective reporting with the intention of making Hill look bad. That would be a hard case to make, and would probably be removed from the jurisdiction in any trial.

Hill is found innocent again... You can call the man a woman beater for the rest of his life, you can call him a convicted violent offender, you can point the finger all day long, All the expungement did was to hide the paperwork, the crime was still committed and T Hill is a convected felon of a serious form of assault and battery,
by strangulation of a pregnant woman with unborn child. The door is pretty much wide open for media to say whatever they want with no fear of civil suits being filed by damaging his reputation.

A rapist will always be a rapist and a child molester will always be a .... even if it is no longer accessible under the legal records due to expungement.

You cannot claim that a person with such a bad reputation; suffered damages because his reputation was hurt. You can, but getting anywhere with it is IMHO not going anywhere. He is a known violent felon who plead to felony domestic abuse by strangulation of a pregnant woman carrying the child in question. It makes him free game and Hill will not get a nickel suing the KC Star or anyone else who put him in the spotlight by noting that he is a suspect in an assault, battery, abuse of a child or any related crime by calling him a viable or possible offender in this case.

When Hill said you should be scared of me it was taken "physically due to his violent past, a past that while expunged can come back to bite him. I am not sure it couldn't be considered assault in certain areas if someone wants to push it.

Furthermore if Hill is ever charged, the record can be opened to the public and is visible at all times to law enforcement. and will become a first offense in prosecution and sentencing.

So why not ask your JOCO DA if Hill has a chance in the event he wants to bring a deformation suit against the Star or his office.He knows all there is to know about Hill and Hill knows a second felony would destroy him. Tyreek will be happy just to be done with this matter on a criminal level and yes. the NFL will suspend him 8 games and the union may turn it into 4-6 games. He may have 3 children who are not allowed in his home, but staying out of the multiple conviction reach of the law will go a long way to further getting to see his kids, play football, and and stay out of jail. Suing the Star, not going to happen.
