this isn't about tyreek

hardman has always struggled at the point of the catch beyond 10 yards if the ball isn't perfect

seeing him drop an easy one is a concern...that was a routine catch for a starting NFL wide receiver, even if the ball wasn't thrown perfect

I didn't see the game but others said he had a great game and I'll go with what they said he has been catching a lot of balls lately like he did at TC. It's not a concern, not to me but to haters of course got to bitch like Karen's.

Hardman is just a speed guy. He's nothing special.

Decent WR and that's about it

How is there always so much argument about Hardman.

He is NOT a great WR. He just doesn't have a feel for the position, that's so infinitely obvious every week. And it's just as obvious he'll never develop into one. He still hasn't learned the ins and outs of being a WR that a lot of guys grasp in college.

He IS a really talented athlete and a great weapon to have on a team, and Reid uses him perfectly. Occasional deep shot, sweeps, plays that get him in space. Obviously we'll see the drops and bad plays too.

Would I wanna re-sign him to any kind of $? Nope. Could we replace his production and role reasonably easily? Yeah, probably. Does all of this make me want to shit on him week after week? Of course not. He is what he is. I don't ever expect anything different to what we get just about every week.

Well said. I think his draft position and talent/expectations make it hard for some people to get over him not being great. I’d probably care more if we haven’t had one of the most lethal passing attacks in nfl history the past 4 years. But it’s hard to be upset about him not living up to his potential when we’ve had so much success in that area.

As long as we don’t overpay him I wouldn’t mind him coming back. He’s not great but he’s a solid role player for us.

I agree but I didnt ding him for that at least in this game. You could tell he was still a bit shaken up and injured from a previous play. He was still walking gingerly at that point.

It seemed like they were trying to get MVS involved and he just wasnt. The next go around i expect to be a Moore game. We needed short area quickness to beat the pass rush and it just was not happening for much of the game.

Considering production and resources allocated, it makes sense. Hardman, CEH, and Frank Clark aren't producing up to the level expected based on their cap hit or draft status.

Orlando Brown Jr will be there soon if he keeps playing like he has the last couple weeks as well.

I think the chiefs brought mvs not to complement hardman, but to replace him. Hardman could go to become the gadget guy which I think is a great use for him. But that means bringing along skyy moore way quicker than Andy Reid will be comfortable with. Andy really needs to break that cycle and play the rookie early and often.

One of these things is not like the other...

Hardman is an above average 2nd round pick, and MeTcAlF going a few picks later doesn't change that. If your expectations are THAT high for a mid 2nd round pick, then they need adjusting. For crying out loud, he's one of the most productive WRs in that entire draft class.

You can say his development has been a little disappointing because of his upside, but in terms of his "draft status" he's absolutely better than average.

On the play where Mahomes immediately threw it to Fortson in the left end zone, Hardman was wide open streaking across the middle from the right side. Should've been an easy TD.

Think that was just a goal line fade call that Mahomes just messed up on the throw. That play was going to Fortson and Fortson only. Other players were just window dressing.
