David Letterman to retire from 'Late Show' in 2015

That puts him at right around 33 years on nightly t.v. Wow. Amazing. Wonder if Bill Murray will be on his last show... You know Chris Elliott will be back and there'll be a tribute to Larry Bud. You can tell it's time for him...but still sad. End of an era.

Baby Lee weren't you the one that always ALSO liked Kilborn - or was it Conan you're a fan off? Somebody else on here liked Kilborn and we used to talk about how funny he was - thinking it was you or Keg.

You can forget about Tina fey. Her and Fallon are great friends, I doubt they would want to compete head to head

Liked them both. Though I didn't watch Kilborn's network show, just The Daily Show.

Get a streaming radio app and there are links to his live and a couple 24 hour classic Howard created stations - you'll never be without having something to put on if you feel like listening to some Stern whenever.

I liked Kilborn, but he is supposedly a grade-A asshole that burned every bridge he crossed. About 10 years ago I had the opportunity to have a private dinner with Dick Vitale and Howie Schwab and Kilborn's name came up. They both had nothing but negative things to say about him. He apparently made it known that he was just using ESPN as a stepping stone to bigger and better things and couldn't give a ****-all about anyone else there.

Good riddance Dave. Liked you for the first 20 years or so and then you turned into an angry, flaming liberal that thought people gave a shit about your political viewpoints. That's when I turned you off, along with many others.

I'm thinking none of the above.

This. She seems to be on a constant bender. Looks like hell and is way too vulgar.

Another spot on assessment. Dave was the man and then he became the crotchety old man.

Oh I enjoy him immensely, that it until goes on those hippy-dippy 'we need to raise the collective consciousness to expand the breadth of enlightenment, and free the universe of the cynical false paradigms that shackle so many to errant ideas . . . . .. . . . . and the grand reunification of truth . . . . . . blahhhhhhhhhh'

Not shocking - wonder what on earth he's doing now? He just fell off the map - pretty much overnight.

Wow, sounds like his Part in Old School wasn't much of a stretch for him?
