*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

The offense left some plays on the field, but dominated overall.

The defense let us down on the final Titans drive, but overall did what they were supposed to do.

Special teams kicked four FGs, but missed the last two.

The offense scores just one more TD instead of a FG, we win.

The defense forces just one FG instead of giving up a TD, we win.

The ST unit makes that 2nd-to-last FG attempt instead of botching the snap, we probably win.

Any one of those things goes the other way, we're not sitting here contemplating a loss.

Think people are blowing that third down way out of proportion.

Let’s face it...there was no urgency on anyone’s part to get the first down there. They were all thinking FG was good enough. We all know that if Mahomes desperately wanted to make something happen, he’d have been zigzagging across the field until he found somebody open.

The problem was the FG snap and the defense that followed.

Now I was pissed as hell that Andy took the ball out of Mahomes’s hands on two out of 4 plays on the final set of downs vs the Colts and Texans, because I firmly believe he would have made something happen. Always does.

Let’s say Melvin Ingram hit Pat in the head with a helmet.

Would fans rush the field?

Pat's been getting a pass for too long. He's ****ing atrocious in primetime games and he needs to know when to flip the switch for the killer instinct. Too many times he's out there overthrowing bombs in the 1st quarter, which leads to slow starts, then failing to convert 3rd and manageables to close out games.
