Odds for who is coaching next:
9 head coaching positions are open now that Payton is moving on from the Saints! Holy cow. Here's who bettors are currently guessing are what coaches end up where.

I'll try to update the OP as more information comes in.

Doug Pederson and Eric Bienemy are both currently the betting favorites to be the next coach of the Vikings.

The Vikings have chosen Kevin O’Connell.

That’s not exactly a leap of faith there. He came up from under Shanahan. He’s going to be *a* version of Shanahan.

I just never heard of anybody anywhere clamoring for this guy.

But the Dolphins can’t hire anybody worth knowing because they’re toxic right now (and probably all the time).

I’m certain that’s exactly what they said. Season tickets are still available, after all.

Only Stephen Ross would be incompetent enough to downgrade his coaching staff willingly during a single offseason. Ross did this by firing Brian Flores and then replacing him with Mike McDaniel, who spent one year as San Francisco's offensive coordinator.

The idea with McDaniel is that he's supposed to get the most out of Tua Tagovailoa, but how is that supposed to happen when he failed to develop Jimmy Garoppolo during his five years in San Francisco? McDaniel didn't even call plays last year, so I don't see what this hire is supposed to accomplish besides prove that Ross is unbelievably bad at running an NFL organization.
