Run Defense SUCKS

All other bullshit aside, we only ran 51 plays to their 71.

We had the ball less than 10 minutes in the 2nd half.

IF we even make it to the playoffs with this horrid run D, we don't make it out of wildcard weekend if they don't do something drastic.

Oh, Spagnuolo was so awful and one dimensional, it made me want Sutton back. Where were his "adjustments"?

That's 16 minutes on two drives. 16 minutes that Mahomes sat on the sideline.

That's over one quarter of the game that was drained away by 2 Colts drives.

You're fooling yourself if you don't see that as a major problem, and probably the biggest factor in losing at home to the Colts. Everyone knew they were going to run the ball...but our defense couldn't do a ****ing thing about it. They got dragged up and down that field...all night long.

None of that TOP advantage matters at all if the offense isn’t completely terrible. The defense gave the offense three chances to tie or take the lead. That is more than good enough. How it happened isn’t really relevant. And coincidently if the offense moves the ball the TOP shifts in there favor.

All you have to ask yourself is do we lose tonight with Fisher and Hill and/or Watkins? That answer will tell you whether or not the run defense truly mattered in this game.

That TOP matters if the Colts don't shoot themselves in the foot and stop running/do a dumbass toss play when they've been gashing us the whole play. If the Colts don't outsmart themselves, then they come out with 7 on both of those drives.

Truth.

Run defense is THE liability here.

Tyreek will be back, Fish will be back, the offense will be fine.

No one coming to help the run D

Niemann did better against the run than Hitchens. Still a liability. D Line can’t even get penetration. Clark is terrible

Our playmakers fumble the ball every other time they touch it. We commit too many penalties. The only positive I can take after that game is Mahomes. Guy is a warrior and fought through hell to even give us a shot. With our bumbling dipshit fat oaf linemen getting ownt every play and stepping on his leg, its a wonder he made it out alive tonight.
Agree 100%. The problem is we are slow and weak in the trenches!!!

Both lines suck...bad. Do they even lift weights during the season? They seem to get manhandled every game. Mahomes never has time to throw and hardly ever has room to evade as Cam and Schwartz just let the their man run 5 yards unscathed up field thereby sealing any escape routes Mahomes has. Mahomes is forced to dodge defenders up the middle.

We're just pussies in the trenches!

“New Orleans ranked last in the NFL in total defense and run defense, yielding the most yards (7,042) ever in a single season.” Welp looks like we got the New Orleans version of Spags. This record may be broken. It was even too much for Brees to overcome. Lots of pressure again on the offense because they can’t afford to have a bad game because we’re pimping another 30th plus ranked defense.

Personally, I think we were pretty fortunate "hold" them to 19. That 14 play drive that started on our 48 and ate up 8:34... we were lucky that wasn't a TD given up. They were gashing us up the middle. 2nd at 2 they run wide, and lose 8 yards. Stay behind Nelson up the middle, and that is most likey a TD drive. (Damn good thing that drive started in our territory. If they had started inside their 20, that may have resulted in the longest drive time wise and play wise in NFL history)

Last drive of the game for them, the settled for the FG by running wide again on 3rd and a half of a yard. FG on 4th gave them the 2 score lead which was insurmountable.

They easily could have had 27 instead of 19 if they had wanted/needed to.

Yuo. The only reason it wasn't more was due to Indy shooting themselves in the foot and had NOTHING to do with our defense.

Oh yeah, Spags' defense is worse than Sutton at this point.

Straight garbage.
