My rankings:
Utah - You HAVE to vote for this house. This house is amazing. It may likely be my overall winner in the contest. The house is really awesome, the views are unparalleled, and it's located a reasonable distance from both restaurants and a nice big state park. This is the house that I've been looking for. St. George is a great town, too. Pennsylvania - Amazing house with wonderful views. It's not near anything in terms of restaurants and parks, but the house is still livable due to its awesomeness. Austin - It's near a lot of restaurants and stuff, and I know firsthand that it's near a great running trail that I used in grad school when I lived about a half mile south. It's got great views and it's in a college town. The only downside is the size, which is pretty small. However, it's still large enough to work for a family of two. I could live here. Tennessee - It's a great house on nice property, but it's not near anything. You'd have to drive everywhere. Plus, I figure Tennessee rural properties are going to be full of giant mosquitoes and those spiders that run like the wind. Virginia - It's a nice house, but I'm not really into the Mediterranean style. The location's okay in terms of services, though not near parks that I can discern.

The Tennessee and Pennsylvania houses and properties are very nice but I don't need that much room. Neither of them can touch Utah.

Okay, I'm glad we're all on the same page. Man, I could really go for that house. Maybe I'll start a gofundme page to post on Chiefsplanet.

For most of these it's more about the location than the house, frankly. I'd take a double-wide with a view of a mountain lake over a multi-million dollar penthouse in Manhattan.

That's how I feel. The house in Nevada is okay but I'd live in a tent for that view! (If it had central heat and high-speed internet.)

I'd probably go Virginia. I like Mediterranean style homes and VA's got a mild, temperate climate.
All of the other houses are great except TN, though. I could be swayed from my decision. |
