I have a 40V Ryobi and as long as the grass isn't too high (or wet) it will get through an area of that size with ease.

I was worried about the cutting power so I held off for a long time. Finally got this one 2 seasons ago and it works like a charm. Plenty of power and battery life. I have a big yard too. Never have a problem mowing both the front and back yards on one battery charge.
Liked it so much I got the Ego snow blower and weed wacker. |

I have an Ego leaf blower and the power is fantastic. I think you'd find the extra voltage in the mower to be quite handy.

Never seen a difference in "power" between gas and electric.
If you are going to go electric make sure you get a battery powered one rather than the whole plug into an extension cord type of deal. Growing up I used to always have to use the lawn mower with an extension cord plugged into it. My gosh, never in my own household will we have one of those things.. |

Love my E-GO mower that I purchased last year and I’ll never go back to gas. It goes through any length grass (that I’ve tested) with no problem and folds up when done. In fact, in the spring I’m planning on buying the E-GO hedge trimmer and edger also. They’re awesome tools and a great investment.

How long does the battery last? Those look pretty pricey and I don't want to be buying 1 next year or the next. Is there any problem leaving it partially charged over the winter?

Like the previous post on Ryobi - solid if grass isnt too wet.
They are really quiet too. I wear noise cancelling headphones and listen to music while mowing, and I dont hear the mower it's so quiet (as compared to gas mowers). Batteries last long enough to mow 2-3 times for a medium/small yard, if you're mowing once a week. That said, it does take some time to recharge. You cant put it on the charger for 10 minutes and be back at it. Overall, I like the Ryobi. Didnt want to have to mess with gas/gas cans, etc. etc

I bought one last year. Used it for a couple weeks and returned it. When it got hot it would stop working until it cooled off. Nothing like having to stop for 20 minutes in the middle of cutting your grass to let your mower cool off. I love the idea of an electric mower and not having to worry about starting it etc, but in the real world it didn't work worth a damn.

I have an electric push mower from Craftsman that does a great job. The only real difference I've noticed so far is that you do have to be careful about your lawn when its wet. That's easy enough in Colorado, but can be tougher in wetter climates.

I've got a big back yard and I've never run out of juice with my EGO mower. Check the reviews and side by sides on YouTube. I don't easily recommend products unless I've been impressed by them.

Oh, and all of the batteries for EGO products recharge VERY quickly; easily within an hour and often much less.

My Co-worker has one and raves about it.
I have an electric mower but it's not cordless. I was pleasantly surprised. My mower cost less than $100, assembled in minutes and does a damn good job. It looks like a freakin' toy and is as light as one too. Combined with the sound it makes i feel like i'm vacuuming my lawn, not mowing it haha.

This doesn't apply to the OP, and i know ya'll are gonna laugh at my girlie lawn mower, but **** it does the job, man.
My front Lawn is probably 25yards x 10yards (ish) and for a small job like that this thing kicks ass. https://americanlawnmower.com/collec...v-corded-mower
