Can't believe the regular season starts tonight. Just seemed like the Finals ended a couple weeks ago.

That doesn't matter. Being more versatile doesn't make you a better defender.

Lebron is a big freak athlete, but not as good of a defender pound for pound.

Also, Lebron spent so much of the last several years not playing defense that you don't get to harp on longevity while also giving him a pass defensively when making comparisons to Jordan's defense.

Maybe someone like Karl Malone, perhaps?

I'm being punked at this point, right?

It pretty much makes up for the biggest stain on his career that Dirk happily gave him.
that gets him back to square zero then, not GOAT status

KC_Infection is just copying and pasting posts from the last 10 years at this point.

He masturbates nightly to that block from 2016.

Lebron is a more versatile defender - yup.

And Jordan was EASILY a better on-ball and perimeter defender. James, even at his prime, wasn't a great on-ball defender. A fantastic help defender because he has very good defensive instincts, but his defensive impact was not what Jordans was.

This is a truly bizarre pivot from KCC. I didn't even know this was a thing.

If AD showed up like he did in 2020 against Denver instead of flaking out, there's a decent chance of that happening.

Somebody didn't actually watch LeBron in his prime, it appears. The guy was the best defender in the league in his late 20s.

MJ literally changed the game; changed how it was played, changed how teams were constructed, changed the very importance of the game. The NBA is what it is today because of MJ.

Ah. Yes.

Fair point. Karl Malone truly was known for being small, soft and easy to muscle out of the paint.

I guess I see your point.

More like 3-2 since game 5 was tainted with the suspension, am I right? I mean the games the Warriors won since one opponent were injured don't count according to kcc.

It's the greatest accomplishment in NBA history and those who are capable of seeing LeBron for what he is instead of being blinded by hate can acknowledge it.
