I think Geno Smith will remind Reid alot of McNabb so I think he takes Geno. Only thing stopping Geno from being the kc pick is if he screws the pooch at the combine and even then, I think kc still takes him.

The problem with this draft is that the only other players who experts deem locks are at positions we don't need. It's not like Calvin Johnson is out there. If there are no other reasonable options you weight your needs more. This team needs a S, CB, ILB, DE, TE, FB, QB. None of the players at those positions are worthyof the first pick. All things being equal, unless the QB options just can't play, what other direction do you go?

Like you need a separate thread for this. Everyone has already volunteered this information at nauseam.

Ring leader has the point of the year.
And even with that said, it's not like Geno is a reerun that should be last option. He's completely worthy of being selected #1 overall. He's a top 8 talent IMO. I haven't created a "big board" yet. I save those for after the combine. I typically rank my top 100 guys. But at this point Geno is right around 3rd, or 4th overall. Maybe even 1st after further review. That's just me though. But I know of 3 scouting services that rate him #1 overall. |

Would not mind us taking BPA at 1 and trading back into the first round for our QB if it's a guy that Reid truly feels is the guy and we know he'll be there around the 20-30 range.

I mean this in jest but do me a favor. If you fly to New York for the draft, do not boo the non-Geno Smith selection lustily in front of a national TV audience, especially if it's not a QB. Eagles fans wanted Ricky Williams with Reid's first ever draft pick in 1999. McNabb never forgave the entire fanbase for the Dirty Thirty radio stunt. Reid doesn't often do the popular thing if he doesn't think it's right. You guys have the same Pre-draft mentality we did 14 years ago. Be careful.

This maybe a once in a life time opportunity to get our QB with the first pick of the draft. It's huge & no way would I be happy with any other position. I have no reason to trust or believe that we would be better off skipping a QB with our first pick of the draft. I don't curr if Andy Reid thinks he made the right decision for the better of the team or not. He would have to prove it to earn that trust just because he did it in Philly doesn't mean he should do it here.

I will predict if we do pick first it won't be a QB, if we trade back to say 10th, then we will pick AJ McCarron
