It DOES matter. If KU doesn't win this game, they pretty much need to win the Big 12 tourney to get a #1 seed. You talk as if that's a given.

Not only that but momentum is key, it's one thing if we lose a close game at the end but this is horrible.

They may not even have to do that much considering how most of the #1 seeds under consideration are losing. And I don't think winning the B12 tourney is a given at all, but I suspect you'll see a far more motivated KU for those games than today.
