It’s faster
Just look at things from a speed perspective:

Hill=Hill
Kelce=Kelce
Watkins=Watkins
Hardman>Conley
Robinson=Robinson
Williams>Hunt

That’s the fastest receiver, a very fast TE, Watkins claims to be in better shape, Hardman is a burner, Robinson has some speed, and Damien Williams is the fastest RB we’ve had since Charles. Oh, and Mahomes is probably gonna be a bit faster (and stronger) this year a season well

How do you defend 4 vert routes if all the WRs are sub 4.4?

Hope / Pray for a delayed hand off / draw play.

A few things....
I hope Hardman will be used not just as a receiver but as a receiving option DAT was supposed to be. We need an underneath option who can also get tons of YAC.

Mahomes will be better. Ravens and Pats found a blueprint to scheme him as best they can. No doubt Reid has found a fix. And Brandon Daly is a wildly underrated move for our offense. He will make sure mahomes sees these fronts in practice.

Williams is fine. But mahomes has to be better at finding the check down when needed. Darwin will help us get the bowling ball yards we used to get with kareem.

I loved hearing mahomes say was he's working on his footwork. I actually think he's been too inaccurate on the deep stuff and I hate when he throws off his back foot when he doesn't need to. We were awesome on long plays. It's amazing to think we should have been even better.

He will primarily be used in DAT's old role. It's been noted (yesterday actually) that Robinson is taking over Conley's old role.

Robinson in Conleys role is intriguing. I don't know that Robinson can ever be a 1 or 2 receiver. His value seems to be being mahomes' #1 improv option and the two have terrific chemistry when mahomes starts moving around. Conley struggled with separation. His value seemed to be being open when mahomes went through all his reads. So that seems like a really really good fit for Robinson.

Nope. Darwin will be the DAT you think Hardman will be. Darwin fits the role much better IMHO.

I should rephrase... I think the Chiefs WANTED DAT to be a replacement for Albert wilson. We miss Wilson. Darwin and Damien are good checkdown and screen options. But Wilson was a guy you could use for jet sweeps and to run or sometimes sprint underneath the coverage. We saw what happened in New England when we can't throw underneath our vertical routes. Defenses are going to more and more stack deep to stop us. We need to punish them when they do. What intrigues me about Hardman isn't just his speed, it's his agility. That's a great weapon for that role.

I wouldn't say Williams > Hunt, as I think Hunt is better. But the drop off is absolutely minimal as Williams is faster than Hunt but Hunt is more powerful and harder to tackle. But Williams having a full year as the primary back, he's about to have an absolute career year.

Also, Darwin Thompson is about to break out the second half of the year// I'm ****ing ready for Mahomes to have 98 TDS and 6235 yards

I'm with you except the Hunt part. Hunt was a bad ass RB both running and catching the ball. Williams is not Hunt and not so sure he is faster or faster to the point that it matters.

IMO, Hunt is the best back in football.

Everyone produces in Andy's offense, and ultimately RB doens't matter THAT much... but you watch Hunt shed 2 guys, leap a dude, and then plow a guy 5 years into the endzone. He's ****ing awesome. Always at the top of yards AFTER contact.

Williams was a 3rd string pass catching back. He didn't become awesome. Andy's run scheme is awesome. He just panics and abandons it too often.

Hunt made more game changing plays, but Williams is fine given the cast we have. He'll be supplanted in the near future anyway.

Totally agree. Watching that Chargers game today at 10 minutes in qtr 4 Williams tkes a run and I swear, his burst was exactly like Tyreek Hill. I thought thats who had the ball. He levels that defender making the tackle.
